Gagnwon State to invite foreign buyers for online export consultations on Aug. 25-29
The 2025 Gangwon State Overseas Buyer Invitation Online Export Consultation will be held on August 25-29.
Now in its third year, this consultation aims to discover key overseas buyers, match them one-on-one with local SMEs, and provide professional interpretation services to increase the success rate of export contracts.
The province plans to facilitate 770 export consultations by connecting local businesses and overseas buyers through an online video platform.
Buyers with high contract potential will be selected and invited to the offline export consultation scheduled for November.
This year, 157 buyer companies from 23 countries, including North America, Greater China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, will participate, alongside 105 local SMEs in key sectors such as food, beauty, and medical industries in the province.
Each company will have an average of 8 export consultations, and additional consultations will be actively supported if required based on the needs of businesses and buyers.
An official from Gangwon State said, "Despite the uncertain trade environment, such as U.S. tariff policies, this will be an opportunity to drive export diversification and create tangible results based on the competitiveness of local SMEs."
