On September 10th, Hoengseong County and Gangwon State signed a total investment agreement worth KRW 63.6 billion with NextBio and Yuyu Healthcare at the Gangwon Provincial Government Office, regarding the expansion of their Hoengseong plants.

According to the agreement, NextBio, a premium coffee extract production company, will invest KRW 46.1 billion to establish a second factory of 7,335㎡ in the Ucheon 2nd Industrial Complex.

The company plans to hire 40 additional employees, increasing the workforce to 102, and enhance its capacity to domestic and international demand by expanding production facilities and upgrading equipment.

Yuyu Healthcare, a health supplement manufacturer, will invest KRW 17.5 billion to expand its factory by 5,828㎡ on its existing site at the Ucheon General Industrial Complex.

The company plans to create 114 jobs, including 15 new positions, and strengthen its equipment competitiveness by establishing softgel and liquid lines to meet diverse consumer demands.

These investments from both companies amount to KRW 63.5 billion and are expected to create 55 new jobs, boosting the food and healthcare industries and energizing the local economy.

Hoengseong's Mayor stated, "The expansion of investments by excellent SMEs will create a virtuous cycle that leads to local job creation and the revitalization of the industrial ecosystem. We will spare no administrative and financial support to ensure that businesses and the region grow together."
