According to Yonhap News,

Gangwon State announced that it will participate in the '27th Semiconductor Exhibition (SEDEX 2025)' at COEX in Seoul on October 22-24, promoting Gangwon’s semiconductor industry development policies and investment environment.

Organized by the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, this event is the largest semiconductor-focused exhibition in Korea, aimed at strengthening the industrial ecosystem and cooperation network.

More than 230 companies from all sectors of the semiconductor industry, including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, memory and system semiconductors, materials, components, equipment, and sensors, will participate to share the latest technologies and market trends.

During the exhibition, Gangwon State will introduce key semiconductor industry development policies, including plans for the creation of the Gangwon Semiconductor Collaboration Zone (Cluster), business support systems, and workforce training programs.

Together with Wonju-si and Gangwon Techno Park, the province plans to engage in active investment consultations and promotional activities targeting relevant companies and investors.

At the promotional booth, visitors will be encouraged to participate through activities such as ▲ a Gangwon Semiconductor Industry quiz ▲ an investment intention survey ▲ prize events like claw machines and coffee giveaways.

In particular, by showcasing products from local semiconductor companies such as GQL and BCD Tech, the province aims to verify the technological capabilities and growth potential of the Gangwon semiconductor industry on-site.

An official from Gangwon State said that "We will use this opportunity to widely promote the competitiveness of Gangwon's semiconductor industry and drive the growth of local companies and investment attraction. We will continue to pursue strategic investment activities to attract semiconductor companies in the future."
