According to Yonhap News,

On November 26th, the Gangwon E-Mobility Industry Association embarked on a local investigation in China to respond to the rapidly changing global automotive industry environment, focusing on the world’s largest market.

The association is sending a trade delegation to the "Automechanika Shanghai 2025," held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai, China, until November 29th.

Celebrating its 21st year, Automechanika Shanghai is the largest automotive parts exhibition in Asia.

By participating in this event, the association aims to thoroughly understand the latest industrial trends in China, the center of the global electric vehicle market, and to benchmark them for future development.

The trade delegation consists of 27 members, including association members, Wonju-si officials, and personnel from related organizations. They will observe the technologies and market changes of global companies at the exhibition and explore strategies that can be applied to the automotive parts industry.

The delegation will specifically focus on analyzing technological trends in key areas for eco-friendly future vehicles, such as parts lightweighting, autonomous driving technology, and battery systems, which are gaining increasing importance due to the expansion of electric vehicle adoption.

The goal is to gather insights that will help local companies in developing new business items and setting research and development (R&D) directions.

In addition, it will operate booth, where local companies will showcase newly developed products and key parts, assessing their technological position in the global market.

They also plan to gather feedback from visitors, which will be used as data for future product enhancements.

Wonju-si and Gangwon State are continuing their efforts to support overseas marketing and capacity-building initiatives, helping local automotive parts companies transition from internal combustion engine-based businesses to future vehicle-oriented industries.
