The Friends of Invest KOREA visited Air Liquide Korea in Dangjin last week as a part of their third workshop. Organized by Invest KOREA, Friends of Invest KOREA is a program through which 34 foreign students (university and graduate students) serve as ambassadors of Korea. Through visits to foreign-invested companies and various online activities, they promote Korea's investment environment.

Established in 1902, the France-based Air Liquide is the world leader in gases for industry, health and the environment. Air Liquide invested in Korea for the growth potential of its dynamic market. Christopher Clark, President & Representative Director of Air Liquide Korea, noted that Korea has the strength to continue growing despite difficult global economic circumstances.

Air Liquide Korea aims to create synergy for R&D, production and technology in Korea, a leader in the semiconductor market. It plans to focus on localization here by investing 60 percent of its R&D budget in environment-related activities.
