Presentation for Foreign Investors on Employment & Labor Policy of Korea
Date
2014.09.05

 Welcoming Message

Early this year, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, President Park Geun-hye showed a strong will power of the government to attract foreign investment by stressing that Korea will become one of the most investment-friendly places in the world.

However, as global economic uncertainties have been prolonging recently, we have been facing a number of problems that need to be fixed, such as low growth, high unemployment rate and income distribution inequality. To overcome such limitations, the Korean government pursues policies to enhance added values and create more jobs.

In order to put such policies and willingness of the government into action, foreign investors, your active participation and cooperation is the most valuable, as well as regulatory reform, framework for harmonization between labor and management, and expansion of social safety net.

Korea Labor Foundation, together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and KOTRA, invites you to 「Employment and Labor Policy Direction」for CEOs of foreign invested firms in Korea. In the breakfast meeting, Employment and Labor Minister himself will present on the employment and labor policy and its future direction.

To this meaningful place, I cordially invite you. Minister’s kind explanation will reduce gap between policy and field and promote communication between the government and foreign investors.
