2014.10.02

Invest Korea, the investment promotion arm of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), held a cultural program for foreign investors, ambassadors and their families called Get to Know Korea on September 27 at Namsangol Hanok Village.

The event was organized to boost the community of foreign residents and create a friendly investment environment as part of an ongoing effort to attract foreign direct investment.

About 50 foreign investors and their families attended the event, including President Kaj Farm of Scania Korea, Hari Nair, the Managing Director of the Kimberly Clark Global Innovation Center in Korea and representatives of Merck Korea.

Participants had the opportunity to learn the Korean martial art of Taekwondo by undergoing mind training and learning moves. They also saw a Taekwondo performance by a group called Y-Kick.

"The event contributed to strengthening the community of foreign residents and creating a friendly investment environment for foreign investors. It has also been a great opportunity to show that Korea has not only powerful businesses, but also an attractive living environment," said Chung Gwang-young, Director of the Investment Planning Department.
