About 40 people attended the event, including United States Consul General Roberto Powers, Guerbet Korea General Manager Mathieu Elie, employees of foreign-invested companies, diplomatic envoys and the families of these participants. They learned the basics of first-aid response and cardiopulmonary resuscitation both in theory and through practice. They also had the unique opportunity to enjoy Jongmyo Jaerye, a royal ancestral ceremony of Korea with music, at the first Royal Cultural Festival, which was organized by the Cultural Heritage Administration. Jongmyo Jaerye, Korea’s Important Intangible Cultural Properties No. 1, has also been designated one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
“Get to Know Korea was a great opportunity to promote Korea as not only an attractive business destination, but also a safe and comfortable place to live for foreign investors. We will strive to create a friendly atmosphere to attract more investment in Korea,” said Chung Gwang-young, Director General of the Investment Planning Department.
