(SEOUL=NEWSIS) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) held a one-on-one business consulting meeting on September 30 and October 1 in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia to mark the first anniversary of the effectuation of the free trade agreement (FTA) between Korea and Australia.

About 60 Australian buyers and 14 Korean companies participated in the event to discuss exports in sectors including metal products, industrial machinery, consumer goods and medical equipment.

"We will strive to attract investment and create foreign investment opportunities by capitalizing on the bilateral FTA to strengthen economic ties between the two countries," said Sun-Hwa Kim, Director-General of KOTRA’s Sydney Office.
