2016.06.22

The Investment Aftercare Division of Invest KOREA, the investment promotion arm of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, gave a trial performance of the Regulatory Information Portal before officials from foreign embassies and chambers of commerce in Korea on June 22 at Invest KOREA Plaza, Seoul.

Around 35 people including Joy Yamamoto, Economic Minister Counselor of U.S. Embassy Seoul; Paul Schofield, Economic Counsellor of Australia Embassy Seoul; Mel Barlow, Counsellor of British Embassy Seoul; John Schuldt, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea; Graham Dodds, Chairman of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea; and Barbara Zollmann, Secretary General of the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended the event and showed a great interest in the website.

Foreign Investment Ombudsman Kim In-chul, the host of the session, emphasized that the Regulatory Information Portal helps foreign-invested companies resolve their grievances in advance by showing them the legislative information during the enactment or revision of regulations and allowing them to submit their opinions and suggestions to the government. He also advised more foreign-invested companies to visit the portal and benefit from it.
