KOTRA hosts "Korea-US Investment Cooperation Forum" in Washington, D.C.

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) KOTRA hosts "Korea-US Investment Forum" together with US Department of Commerce, US Embassy in Korea, and National Governors Association in Washington D.C., U.S. on June 10.

The forum is opened in connection with "SelectUSA Investment Summit", U.S.' largest investment attraction event held by the U.S. government. 100 individuals from 65 Korean companies participate in SelectUSA Summit.

The investment cooperation forum is held for Korean companies participating in SelectUSA Summit, providing information necessary for making investment in the U.S., and supporting exchanges with major figures from the US government and companies.

At the panel discussion to present investment strategies for Korean companies to enter the U.S, market, experts from local financial institutions, law firms, and the State International Development Organizations (SIDO) are set to join.

Dean Brenner, Senior Vice President of Spectrum Strategy & Technology Policy for Qualcomm, is to talk about "U.S. 5G technologies," while Mike Woods, co-founder of Monsoon Blockchain is to talk about "blockchain and the U.S. trends on the 4th Industrial Revolution."

Shawn Chang, Head of Invest KOREA said, "technological development of the U.S. in the 4th Industrial Revolution areas and U.S. government's policy offer both challenges and opportunities to Korean companies seeking to enter the U.S. market," adding that "We host this forum to more effectively support Korean companies enter the world's largest market, which is the U.S., and deepen economic cooperation between Korea and the U.S."
