CEO: “Making the best out of expertise and own specialty, we’ll help unlock greater growth opportunities overseas”

Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA: CEO and President, Kwon Pyung-Oh) signed an MOU with Korea Life Insurance Association (KLIA) on Mar 9 at the head office in Seoul over a partnership to help insurance companies in Korea and small or mid-sized businesses find new sales channels overseas to reach out to potential customers. Under the partnership deal, both KOTRA and KLIA agreed to pitch in providing a business-support package mainly targeting life insurance companies in Korea, small or mid-sized companies and early stage startups, mostly facing difficulties finding proper sources to get market information or business networking.

By letting these businesses in need of help gain access to in-depth local market analysis or information on the global insurance market research, the investment agency will run a set of assistance programs designed to help insurance companies further explore new markets and begin networking with supervisory bodies and authorities worldwide.

KLIA will take the role of public relations management, making a contribution in helping share more information on what to benefit from KOTRA’s services.

Both called for making concerted efforts to develop a wide selection of assistance programs; hosting seminars or business conference with foreign funded life insurers, helping startups unlock new market opportunities abroad and running overseas HR training etc.
