KOTRA published '2021 guide to investing in US' in digital format on June 30
Includes investment environment and incentives of 22 states in the US...Korea's largest investment destination

KOTRA (President & CEO Yu Jeoung-yeol) released '2021 guide to investing in US' on June 30. It intends to expand Korean companies' opportunities to enter US market on the back of US's economic stimulus policies and strengthening Buy American (the purchase of American-made supplies) trend.

To enhance reliability of report and provide more practical information, KOTRA collaborated with the US embassy in Korea and the Association of American State Offices in Korea (ASOK).

The report analyzed investment environment and incentive details, which differ across states. It contains investment information of 22 states in the US worth paying attention to, such as △ Texas, offering lower tax burden △Ohio, actively providing incentives △Georgia, a stepping stone for Korean carmakers in entering North American market.

To enhance accessibility to content details and references-too extensive to be contained in a book-KOTRA provided related links and QR code. Users can access updated information by connecting the links or scanning QR code.

Shawn Chang, Commissioner of KOTRA’s Invest Korea, said "Although US was the largest investment destination for Korea, Korean companies experienced difficulties in the process of making investment because each state has different environment and system," adding "we hope this guide is useful for Korean companies considering investment in the US." The '2021 guide to investing in the US' can be downloaded free of charge on news.kotra.or.kr.
