KOTRA to hold 'Seoul Food' for four days on June 7-10
Announced the vision and new BI on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, looking at the food industry's future
Various programs on offer, with 962 companies from 30 countries participating in 1,735 booths


KOTRA is to hold "Seoul Food 2022" at KINTEX, Goyang-si on June 7-10. Seuld Food is the largest in Korea and the fourth in Asia among food-related exhibitions. It is held every year to support exports and sales channel expansion of domestic food companies and share the trends of rapidly changing global food industry, and innovation information.

In particular, this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of KOTRA and the 40th anniversary of Seoul Food. With starting to return to pre-COVID19 normal life, 962 companies from 30 countries around the world are to participate.

At the opening ceremony, KOTRA's vice president Sohn Soo-deuk, KINTEX CEO Lee Hwa-young, Senior Vice President Christopher of Asia, Informa Markets, and ambassadors from 20 countries participating in international pavilion jointly declared new Brand Identity (BI) of Seoul Food to commemorate its 40th anniversary.

This year's exhibition will be held in five halls in Exhibition Center 1, KINTEX. At 1-2 Halls, 191 companies are participating at 744 booths for △Seoul Foodtech △Seoul Hotrecatech △Seoul Foodpack and △Seoul Food Safety Tech. Meanwhile, 318 food companies from 30 countries around the world are presenting at domestic pavilion and international pavilion of 3-5 Halls.

As was the case in last year, the setting was prepared for hybrid business meetings, available both online and offline. To support business of participating companies, there will be △online and offline business meetings and △domestic buyer business mettings to support export and salses channel expansion of participating companies.

KOTRA's vice-president Sohn Soo-deuk said "we will actively support domestic food companies, who struggled through COVID-19 for the last years, to expand to overseas markets by taking Seoul Food as an opportunity."
