KOTRA and KMOU joined hands to activate foreign investment attraction

KOTRA held MOU signing ceremony and Foreign-Invested Companies' Job Fair at KMOU on July 11
Bolster cooperation through advice by experts in the shipbuilding and marine areas, and support for university students' employment at foreign-invested companies


Invest KOREA, a foreign investment attraction arm of KOTRA (President & CEO Yu Jeoung-yeol) signed an MOU with Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU) on revitalizing foreign investment attraction and fostering local talents.

The MOU signing ceremony, held at the headquarters of the KMOU located in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, was attended by Commissioner Shawn Chang of KOTRA Invest KOREA and President Doh Dong-hee of KOMU. By signing the MOU, the two parties will cooperate in active information exchange to promote foreign investment attraction and talent recruitment by foreign-invested companies.

Following the MOU signing ceremony, 'KOTRA Foreign-Invested Companies Job Fair by Visiting' was held at Korea Maritime & Ocean University. As the first official collaborative project related with the MOU, Invest KOREA provided recruitment trends of foreign-invested companies and job information of foreign invested companies located in Busan to current KOMU students.

Shawn Chang, Commissioner of Invest KOREA said, "we built a long-term cooperative relationship through this MOU," adding "we expect the activation of foreign investment in the marine industries covering shipbuilding, marine transport, and logistics, as well as active information exchanges between the two organizations to support employment at foreign-invested companies."
