Running a two-day 'Foreign-Invested Company Job Fair" at COEX, Seoul starting from Nov. 14
Chance to experience interview and counseling with HR managers at 180 foreign-invested companies...Offline event for the first time in three years

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Lee Chang-yang), and organized by KOTRA (President Yu Jeong-yeol),the "Foreign-Invested Company Job Fair" will be held at COEX in Seoul for two days from Nov. 14. The job fair for foreign-invested companies has been held every year since 2006 to solve the employment difficulties of young Koreans and support foreign-invested companies with recruiting outstanding talents, marking its 17th anniversary this year.

It has been launched either online or offline alternately due to the COVID-19 prevention and control measures. However, for the first time in three years, the fair is slated to be held offline at the largest scale, joined by roughly 180 foreign-invested enterprises.

The job fair consists of △Business consultation hall △ JOB concert (special lectures and briefings on employment), △One-on-one consulting session (resume, interview, MBTI-based career consulting), and △On-site events. At the business consultation hall, participating jobseekers can visit individual counseling booths set up for about 180 foreign-invested companies, get the latest company recruitment information, and have on-site counseling with HR managers. The JOB concert involves special lectures and briefings on employment. In particular, HR managers from the most favored 14 companies plan to introduce their recruiting process as well as the hiring requirements of workers.

At the fair are to attend 3M Korea, Boeing Korea, Otis Elevator, Applied Materialized, Citi Bank and other companies at which most jobseekers want to land. Participating 180 companies are currently hiring new workers and their job postings are available on the fair website. One personnel manager from MERSK Korea, who attends the event for the fifth time, says, "since it is a great opportunity to meet talented jobseekers and give them real advice on working conditions, I have been taking part in the fair yearly."

KOTRA President Yu Jeong-yeol said, "This offline event is more meaningful in that the largest number of foreign-invested firms are to participate after having had limitations to face-to-face consultations due to COVID-19," adding, "I expect the fair catalyzes vitalizing exchanges between foreign companies and jobseekers, and help them to get a job at their dream companies."

Jobseekers can register resumes or participation online (jobfairfic.kotra.biz). (No participation fee/ Some programs require tp make prior application) As the JOB concert will be broadcast online, jobseekers in non-metropolitan areas can participate as well. For further inquiries, the fair's management office offers the service.(02-2186-9146)
