Kim Tae-hyung, Commissioner of Invest KOREA

KOTRA (President Yu Jeong-yeol) on Jan. 19, appointed Kim Tae-hyung as the new commissioner of KOTRA's Invest KOREA. 

For the next two years, Kim will be at the helm of Invest KOREA, a national organization dedicated to foreign investment promotion. 

Commissioner Kim received a B.A. in Economics from Korea University in Seoul and a Master's and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Washington in the US. Later he served as an expert in international investment, global value chain, and international taxation at Korea Institute for International Economics Policy (KIEP), the US Law and Economics Consulting Group (LECG), and Deloitte in the US and Korea. 

He expressed his aspiration by saying, "I will contribute to attracting foreign capital so as to bolster industrial competitiveness and create more quality jobs."
