KOTRA launches "KOTRA-Municipality-FEZ Investment Attraction & Reshoring Officials' Meeting" on Mar. 9
With the participation of around 40 officials from 20 cities, wards, and FEZs..."Scheduled to be held on a quarterly basis"

KOTRA (President Yu Jeong-yeol) hosts the 1st Investment Attraction & Reshoring Officials' Meeting 2023 at the KOTRA headquarters in Yeomgok-dong. The event will be joined by a total of 40 officials from major municipalities (Daegu-si, Busan-si, Incheon-si, Asan-si, Ulsan-si, Gangwon-do, Gyeongnam-do, Jeonnam-do, Jeonbuk-do, Chungnam-do, Chungbuk-do, etc.), and FEZ Offices (Busan-Jinhae, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Donghae, Gwangyang Bay Area, Ulsan, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Gyeonggi, etc.).

In the meantime, KOTRA's Foreign Investor Support Office organized the event. And specialists at KOTRA, together with officials from the central government, local governments, and related institutions, have provided FDI-related general consulting services and one-stop administrative support services since the launch of the Korea Investment Service Center (KISC) under the 1998 Foreign Investment Promotion Act (FIPA) in 1998.

At the meeting, the officials in charge of investment attraction & reshoring are to invite relevant experts to share the current state of the secondary battery industry and information on the industry's ecosystem.

Lee Kyeong-sik, the head of KOTRA's Foreign Investor Support Center, said, "For the sake of supporting strategic attraction and reshoring, it is necessary to enhance FEZ officials' expertise in advanced industry ecosystem, investment support program, and other fields at large," adding, "we are planning to open a quarterly meeting on building up expertise and sharing exemplary cases."
