Opened the website for Job Fair...Begin receiving applications on July 1st

On July 2, KOTRA held a launching ceremony for global talent fair supporters to promote the "2024 Global Talent Fair," the largest global job fair in Korea, at KOTRA headquarters in Seoul.

The Global Talent Supporters consisted of 20 college students from all over the country who are interested in jobs at global companies. Under the slogan "We're Already Global!" they are planned to carry out tasks for two months from July, including: visit companies participating in the job fair; promote foreign-invested companies; and recruit job seekers who will come to the job fair. Factoring in questions that job seekers are generally wondering about, they will cover the companies participating in the job fair and inform job seekers, and promote recruitment of outsanding companies by making use of the college students' network.

Meanwhile, the job fair, co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Ahn Duk-geun)and the Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Lee Jung-sik), will be held at COEX in Seoul on August 27-28. Following last year, the job fair will integrate △ Foreign Investment Company Job Fair △ Global Job Exhibition △ Foreign Student Job Fair. About 400 companies with plans for hiring will participate, including 120 foreign companies, 180 foreign-invested companies, and 100 domestic companies. It is the largest scale, as a single job fair, in Korea.

Its website (globaltalentfair.kotra.biz ) started accepting pre-application of resumes from July 1. The deadline for pre-applications for on-site interviews is August 5. However, interviews and side events of popular companies are often closed early, so interested job seekers are recommended to apply in advance within July.

Jeon Chun-woo, Executive Vice President and Director of Small and Medium Enterprises Division, said at the launching ceremony that "Young talents in Korea are much more qualitied than ever, so the demand from global companies is rising rapidly. However, they are faced with difficulties in finding jobs due to the lack of information," adding, "We will endeavor to help them find more diverse opportunities through the Global Talent Supporters."
