Information Strategy Plan (ISP) for AI-Based Customized Export Support Completed
Expected to Become a Catalyst for Advancing as One of the Top 3 AI Powers and Opening the Era of USD 1 Trillion in Exports.

KOTRA (President Kang Kyung-sung) is moving forward with refining its AI-based "Intelligent Trade and Investment Platform." On August 21, KOTRA held a report meeting at its Seoul headquarters to announce the completion of the Information Strategy Planning (ISP) and outlined plans to gradually implement 10 key tasks over the next three years starting from 2026.

This project focuses not just on system improvements, but on building a next-generation trade and investment platform that both domestic and international clients can use. By utilizing AI technology to collect and analyze data, KOTRA aims to provide personalized services that will significantly improve the entire export support process.

A key feature of this ISP is addressing one of the major challenges faced by export companies: the difficulty of adopting new AI technologies. A customer survey conducted beforehand revealed that many respondents wanted access to real-time, comprehensive information and personalized services throughout the entire export process.

To meet these demands, KOTRA has developed three key strategies to support complex export procedures through a digital platform: ▲ AI-based customer service innovation, ▲ Building a data-centric AX ecosystem, and ▲ Establishing a sustainable governance system.

KOTRA plans to gradually implement these 10 major tasks over three years, from 2026 to 2028. The goal is to create an environment where both domestic and international customers can easily access KOTRA's digital platform and make use of AI-based personalized services seamlessly. In the future, export companies will be more efficiently matched with buyers recommended by AI and will be able to easily search and utilize AI-based market information analysis services provided by 131 overseas trade offices.

President Kang Kyung-sung of KOTRA stated, "KOTRA has established an AI committee and devised an AI strategy to open the era of USD 1 trillion exports." He added, "Through this ISP project, we will implement AI-based digital innovation and fulfill our role as a smart assistant and reliable partner for export companies."
