KOTRA holds “Logistics Seminar for China Cross-border E-commerce via Douyin” and “Real-time Live Commerce,” and launches “One-stop Logistics Support Project for China Cross-border E-commerce”
One-stop support for logistics, marketing, and live commerce for sales in the Chinese domestic market
Amidst the ongoing trend of restoring Korea-China relations following the summit at the beginning of the year, efforts are being made to expand the entry of K-consumer goods into China through cooperation with China's leading online distribution networks.
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA, President Kang Kyung-sung) announced on the 23rd that it invited a massive buying delegation of approximately 90 members—led by Douyin’s (China’s TikTok) Head of Overseas Business and including purchasing managers, vendors, and influencers—to its Seoul headquarters to host the “Logistics Seminar for China Cross-border E-commerce via Douyin.” KOTRA also announced the launch of a one-stop support project encompassing logistics, marketing, and live commerce to help K-consumer goods companies enter the Chinese domestic market.
This seminar was organized to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to enter the Chinese market in cooperation with Douyin—China’s largest short-form and live commerce platform—with a comprehensive presentation on cross-border e-commerce logistics infrastructure, online marketing strategies, and ways to utilize live commerce. The visit of five purchasing managers for beauty, pets, fashion, and baby products led by Douyin’s Head of Overseas Business, along with 39 local Chinese vendors and 31 Chinese influencers, confirmed the high level of interest in K-consumer goods.
Focusing on the Overseas Joint Logistics Center in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China—which specializes in cross-border e-commerce—KOTRA provided detailed explanations on: ▲Trends in the Chinese consumer goods market, ▲Entry strategies for promising consumer goods such as beauty, pet supplies, fashion, and baby products, and ▲Douyin’s 2026 marketing strategy and support policies for Korean companies.
Since the end of 2025, KOTRA has established 10 new K-consumer goods logistics desks, including in Qingdao, and has expanded logistics services for K-consumer goods categories such as beauty, food, household items, and fashion.
Hwang Jae-won, Head of KOTRA’s China Regional Headquarters, stated, “With the path for economic cooperation between the two countries reopened through the Korea-China summit at the beginning of the year, this seminar is the first step in connecting that momentum to on-site business. We will provide meticulous, one-stop support for logistics and marketing in collaboration with Douyin to ensure our companies can successfully settle in the Chinese market.”
Companies wishing to participate in the One-stop Logistics Support Project for China Cross-border E-commerce can apply through the KOTRA website (www.kotra.or.kr) from January 26 to February 6.
