MOTIR, MOEL, and KOTRA Host '2026 Global Talent Fair'
A Strategic Matchmaking Event Linking 360+ Hiring Companies, Including 26 Fortune 500 Enterprises, with 18,000+ Talents

Expanding 'Global Employment' Opportunities by Integrating Pavilions for Foreign-Invested Companies, Overseas Employment, and Foreign Student Recruitment

Korea’s largest-scale job fair has officially opened, designed to concurrently support young Korean talents seeking positions at foreign-invested and overseas corporations, as well as international students looking to secure employment within domestic enterprises.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources(MOTIR, Minister Ahn Duk-geun) and the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL, Minister Kim Moon-soo), and organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA, CEO Kang Kyung-sung), the "2026 Global Talent Fair (GTF)" commenced on June 1 at COEX in Seoul for a two-day run.

Fifteen affiliated organizations—including the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, the National Institute for International Education, Seocho-gu Office, the Sejong Economic Promotion Agency for Jobs, the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, the Financial Supervisory Service, and various local governments—joined forces to identify labor demand and support youth employment and corporate talent acquisition.

A total of 360 organizations participated to secure young talent, comprising 137 foreign-invested companies, 121 overseas corporations*, and 100 companies hiring international students. Within the Global 500 Zone, featuring Fortune 500 multinational corporations, 26 industry leaders—including Lam Research Korea, Bosch Korea, Schneider Electric Korea, and Thermo Fisher Scientific Korea—actively engaged in recruitment activities.
* Overseas employment: 87 on-site participants, 34 online participants; 121 companies in total.

▶Launch of the Tech Zone & AI Career Support Booths to Promote Careers in AI and Deep Tech

The central theme of this year's fair is "Employment in AI and Technology Corporations." To streamline matchmaking between AI tech enterprises and job seekers, HR executives from global AI-focused, foreign-invested firms presented the latest hiring trends and strategic insights in the AI sector. The 'Tech Zone' featured 86 companies spanning semiconductors, secondary batteries, displays, future mobility, bio-health, and AI. Furthermore, global foreign-invested firms located outside the Seoul metropolitan area, such as Amkor Technology Korea (Jeonbuk) and Avomobio Korea (Sejong), also proactively engaged in talent acquisition.

▶ "JOB Concert" Series: Career Know-How Delivered by Current and Former Professionals at Global Firms

A series of "JOB Concerts" was held, where current/former professionals and HR managers from global corporations and promising SMEs/middle-market enterprises shared job-seeking strategies and workforce trends. In the foreign-invested enterprises session, vital information was provided on topics such as careers in the global bio/pharmaceutical industry and corporate communications. The overseas employment session offered strategic regional approaches and insights from experienced global professionals. Meanwhile, the international students session featured mentorship dialogues with alumni, corporate recruitment briefings, and visa policy orientations.
