Oracle President Hurd Unveils Optimization Strategy for Oracle Data Center

Mark Hurd, President of global corporate software provider Oracle, visited Korea in late July to present Oracle's future business plan.

 

Hurd unveiled "Optimization Strategy for Oracle Data Center" during press conference held in July 27 in Seoul.

 

He chose Korea as his first destination to promote the optimization strategy on his tour to 60 countries all around the world.

 

The Optimization Strategy for Oracle Data Center is Oracle's future business plan to integrate Oracle's hardware infrastructure and Software to achieve the both goals of performance enhancement and cost reduction.

 

"This is a customized solution tailored to the needs of customers living in an increasingly globalized and mobile world," Hurd said. "The optimization of data center is expected to minimize possible risks, enhance security and flexibility, and ensure automatization and simplification."  

 

Asked why he chose Korea as the first destination, he answered, "Korea is a IT powerhouse, home to many world-renowned IT companies."

 

He added, "Korea companies are also facing challenges just like any other global companies. Oracle's technology can support innovation of these companies."
