Qualcomm, a world leader in 3G and next-generation mobile technologies, decided to invest in IntelRa via its strategic venture investment group Qualcomm Ventures.

IntelRa, a domestic imbedded algorithm developer for mobile communication system, develops and supplies digital modules and digital RF for existing and next generation wired and wireless infrastructure networks.

The investment will enable IntelRa to develop various products and solutions used in next generation mobile communication technology including LTE.

Qualcomm plans to invite IntelRa to Qualcomm Ventures CEO Summit, scheduled to be held in Germany this month, to give IntelRa an opportunity to promote its technology to all around the world.

The summit, organized by Qualcomm, is a major networking event of the mobile industry where representatives of about 40 Silicon Valley venture companies and multinational companies attend.

"IntelRa has mobile communication algorithm and software technology that can improve the quality of communication service inside buildings and underground and enhance data processing service. We are pleased to invest in such a promising company," said Gwon Il-hwan, general director of venture division of Qualcomm Korea.
