Korea to Hold Trade Event Targeting Chinese Market
제목 없음

Two South Korean trade agencies said Monday that they will jointly hold an event later this month aimed at providing local companies with a chance to meet with Chinese buyers and help them advance into the world's largest consumer market.

The "2012 China Business Plaza" will be held by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Korea International Trade Association in Seoul on Oct. 29-30, according to officials of the two organizations.

The officials said that the event is designed to invite about 100 Chinese companies in the renewable energy, new materials, IT, energy and environment sectors.

South Korean companies will have a chance to meet one-on-one with such potential buyers during the two-day event, they added.

The event comes as many rush to preempt the Chinese market in a bid to ease shocks coming from export fluctuations sparked by the global economic slowdown.

China is viewed as the largest consumer market in the world equipped with a population of about 1.5 billion, which offers many business opportunities and sustainable demand for exporters here.
