About 150,000 medical tourists visited Korea last year, up 30,000 from 120,000 in 2011. Notably, the number of Chinese medical tourists increased 76.5 percent compared to 2011.

According to KTO’s estimation, the expenditures of foreign medical tourists reached KRW 350.9 billion, with medical expenses accounting for 57 percent.
