The Hadong County Office in South Gyeongsang Province held an inauguration ceremony for a council devoted to promoting investment in the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone on March 18.
The council consists of 49 personnel, including Hadong Governor Cho You-haeng, consultants, members from regional development bodies, domestic and foreign investment promotion institutes, and research and development (R&D) centers.
The council will carry out various activities to promote investment in the Hadong Galsaman Shipbuilding Industrial Complex for the next two years, such as discovering investors at home and abroad and attracting businesses and capital to the region.
It will also find and bring in R&D institutes that are needed for R&D, production, and education clusters.
The Hadong County Office will support the activities of the council by setting up an investment promotion planning bureau comprising 16 personnel from the county office, the Hadong office in the FEZ, and the Hadong district development project team.
