Incheon Holds Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum

The Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum 2013 was held at the Songdo Convensia Convention Center in Incheon Metropolitan City this week.

The forum, hosted by the Korea Environment Institute (KEI) and co-organized by the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and the Institute for Global Environment Strategies (IGES), was held under the theme, “Mainstreaming Adaptation in Development: Strategies and Actions in a Changing Climate.”

Sponsored by the Incheon Metropolitan City Government and the Ministry of Environment, the forum was attended by 500 people from international environmental development organizations, non-governmental organizations, and academic circles. The forum consisted of six plenary sessions and parallel panel sessions.

As the host of the Green Climate Fund as well, Incheon is expected to strengthen its reputation as an eco-friendly green city.
