Gimcheon held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 15 to construct a new general industrial complex. The city plans to build a 1,424,000㎡ complex by 2015 with an investment of KRW 198 billion to attract companies in the fields of metal processing, automobiles, electronic parts, and non-metallic minerals.
The consortium, formed by Namkwang Construction and Kibong Construction, was selected to build the complex.
