First Foreign Health Center Opens in Songdo
Date
2013.04.30

The first physical examination center for foreigners has opened in Songdo International City, which is located inside the Incheon Free Economic Zone.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Jian Health Promotion Center to conduct marketing to attract foreign tourists and provide employees of foreign-invested companies with conveniences in getting medical treatment.

IFEZA plans to develop projects to promote medical tourists from the USA, China, Russia, and Southeast Asia.

Equipped with cutting-edge facilities, the Jian Health Promotion Center offers medical services, including general examinations, surgery, and services related to internal medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology.

The center has ten coordinators who can speak various languages, such as English, Chinese, Russian, and Vietnamese.

“Foreigners in the Incheon Free Economic Zone have so far suffered from a lack of medical services. We expect that the opening of the center will dramatically improve the medical environment of the zone,” said an IFEZA official.
