U.S. Companies to Invest USD 245 Million in Gyeonggi

Visiting the U.S. April 17 to 20, a trade delegation from Gyeonggi Province, headed by Governor Kim Moon-soo, attracted investments worth USD 245 million from five companies.

Shinsegae Simon, a joint venture established by the U.S.’ Simon Property Group and Korea’s Shinsegae Group, signed a letter of intent to invest more than USD 100 million to build the third Premium Outlets in Siheung.

Costco signed a memorandum of understanding to construct a logistics complex in the Pyeongtaek Poseung 2 Industrial Complex with an investment of USD 100 million.

Sinos, Metaldyne, and NanoFacture also agreed to invest between USD 5 million and USD 20 million in the Pyeongtaek Hyeongok Industrial Complex.

Mayor Kim discussed cooperative measures with Governor Jay Inslee of Washington State and paid his respects at a memorial commemorating U.S. soldiers in the Korean War.
