Korean Drugs to Be Exported to Poland
Date
2013.05.28

Minister of Health and Welfare Chin Young visited Poland last week to host a Korea-Poland medical conference. Minister Chin met with the Minister of Economy and Minister of Health of Poland to discuss cooperative and development measures for health-related and medical industries. A group of representatives from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, Korea Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association and Korea Pharmaceutical Traders Association accompanied the Minister to Poland.

The conference, the first large-scale pharmaceutical conference to be held in Poland, drew 150 participants.

Poland is the sixth-largest pharmaceutical market among EU countries, and Korean companies are interested in Poland to expand into the European market.

Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Adamed, a Polish pharmaceutical and biotechnology group, for the supply, distribution and sales of anti-cancer drugs. Donga ST also signed a USD 1.4 million export contract for anti-cancer drugs with CeFarm.
