Date
2013.06.27

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) opened the 7th Global TransporTech in KINTEX, Ilsan yesterday. The event, which will run through tomorrow, is expected to draw 219 buyers from 32 countries.

About 23 major manufactures of finished cars including General Motors (GM), Ford, Honda and Volkswagen are participating in the event.

The number of global buyers with high purchasing power exceeds 126 and the ratio of European and Japanese buyers is high.

Tata, Mahindra and other car makers from India, the sixth largest automobile manufacturer, are seeking Korean automotive part suppliers.

A KOTRA official expected to see greater success this year than in years past as the event will attract a large number of finished car manufacturers and vendors who are interested in importing more Korean automobile parts.
