MSIP Holds Investment Presentation on Korean ICT Companies in USA

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning announced November 6 that it held an investment presentation on Korean ICT companies in Silicon Valley, in the United States.

About 12 leading Korean ICT companies, including SMATOOS, KPOP UNITED and Spika, participated in the presentation, which was co-hosted by the Global Start-up Centre and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.

Angel and strategic investors in the United States, including the Berkeley Angel Network, attended the event and showed their interest in Korean ICT companies.

Jim Breyer, CEO of Breyer Capital, drew the attention of participants. He has been ranked first in the Forbes Midas List for top technology venture capitalists for three consecutive years.

"We plan to hold an annual investment presentation not only in the venture powerhouses, including the United States and Europe, but also China, Japan and Singapore," said David Oh, managing director of Global Start-up Centre.
