According to Yonhap News,
(SEJONG=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT) announced June 7 that it will approve and publicly present the construction of an urban high-tech industrial complex on 750,000㎡ of land in Sejong City.
The complex will be located southeast of the Multifunctional Administrative City and near the Daedeok Research and Development (R&D) Special District. It will be within a 10-minute and 20- minute drive from the Daedeok R&D Special District and Osong Biovalley, respectively. The road that runs from the industrial complex to the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and Daedeok R&D Special District will partially open in September.
The ministry aims to attract companies related to information technology, biotechnology and green energy technology.
The industrial complex will comprise a venture park for venture companies, research park for research centers and a research core and campus town for industry-academia-research cooperation centers.
Startups can also move into business spaces at the knowledge industry center in the research core, at reasonable rental rates.
Land in the complex will be sold at prices similar to those of nearby industrial complexes. However, the tenant companies of the industrial complex will benefit from a reduction in acquisition and registration taxes and be able to make interest-free payment installments for land.
