According to Yonhap News,
(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced September 6 that it, along with the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp. and Suhyup Bank, hosted the Korea-China Business Partnership on September 4 in Shanghai, China.
A total of 81 Korean companies and 198 Chinese companies participated in the event and engaged in 410 business meetings.
The Korea-China Business Partnership included one-on-one business consultations, industrial networking seminars and agreement-signing ceremonies between the companies of both countries.
To ensure productive one-on-one business consultations, KOTRA focused on industries emerging as the new growth engines of China, including the environment, medical bio and IT information, and the cash cows in the Chinese domestic market, including agricultural products and consumer goods.
"The bilateral FTA will open a new era of multi-dimensional cooperation in sectors including technology cooperation, research and development and investment and services. I hope the event will be an opportunity for Korean small- and medium-sized companies to enter various industries in the Chinese market," said KOTRA CEO Jaehong Kim.
