Marvel heroes theme park to open in S. Korea
Date
2016.04.12

According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) An immersive attraction where visitors can join Marvel Comics' superhero characters on a mission to save the Earth will open in South Korea, the park's local operator said Monday.

According to South Korea's film distributor WAW Pictures, its parent group Hans Group's holding company Hans Holdings has recently signed a contract with Hero Ventures, the Los Angeles-based company behind "The Marvel Experience" -- a touring theme park attraction featuring Marvel heroes and villains -- to win exclusive rights to run the theme park in Korea and Japan.

The Marvel Experience is a mobile interactive attraction featuring Marvel's characters such as Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Spider-Man. It also has the world's only 360-degree, 3-D stereoscopic theater, holograms and a 4D-motion ride.

Under the deal Hans Holdings plan to open the touring theme park late this year or early next year in South Korea, the distributor said.

The theme park will tour around the country, making three-month stops in major cities such as Seoul and Busan, it added.

The company officials said when the sites for the park are empty they will be filled with other amusement parks so visitors can have fun there all year round.
