(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Seoul Food 2016, hosted by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE), opened on May 10 for four days at Kintex, Ilsan.
The international food industry exhibition was named the best exhibition in Korea by MOTIE for seven consecutive years.
A total of 1,511 companies from 46 countries have attended the exhibition and established 2,950 booths to show the latest trend of food technology under the slogan, "Delight your taste buds!".
The event will be a venue for domestic and foreign food producers to share information about clearly labeled products, organic food products and flexitarian effect.
To proactively support the participating companies to enter the foreign markets, KOTRA plans to conduct one-on-one consulting meetings by inviting 24 global distribution companies, 39 overseas buyers and 150 promising buyers.
