(SEOUL=Yonhap News) World IT Show 2016, the largest ICT exhibition in Korea, kicked off on May 17 in Coex, Seoul.
Hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT & future Planning (MSIP) and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, World IT Show 2016 will be held for four days under the theme, "Connect Everything."
A total of 452 companies will attend the event to introduce the latest technologies and products in the following five sectors: mobile VR; IT convergence technologies including internet of things and smart cars; IT services and equipment, such as cloud computing and big data; software, digital contents and artificial intelligence; and industrial electronic products.
The MSIP will also organize a security conference to share the current issues of information security, meeting to seek measures to develop the domestic network equipment industry and an awards ceremony to award excellent technologies and products of the ICT sector.
Other events will include one-on-one export consulting meetings with foreign buyers and a global ICT partnership program to help the domestic companies enter the foreign markets.
