According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) South Korean President Park Geun-hye has included a number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the list of businesses to join her in her upcoming Euro-African tour, the trade ministry said Sunday.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced the list of companies that would accompany her during the 12-day tour of Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya and France starting Wednesday.

The delegation, comprised of 169 officials from 166 companies, is the second-largest in South Korean history after the one that followed Park to Iran earlier this month, which consisted of 236 officials.

Some 82 percent of the companies are SMEs, the ministry said, adding it has selected them based on their business proposals and potential to seal deals in the four countries.

The African delegation consists of 111 companies, mostly in infrastructure and plants, textile and consumer products, and the French cohort is comprised of 101 companies, many of them in beauty, consumer products and biotechnology.

Famous businessmen to join the president include GS Group Chairman Huh Chang-soo, former Doosan Group CEO Park Yong-man and Hanjin Group CEO Cho Yang-ho.
