KOTRA Signed Cooperation MOU with Mongolia's Investment Promotion Agency
Date
2016.07.19

According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced that it has signed an investment cooperation MOU with the Invest Mongolia Agency (IMA) at the Shangri-La Hotel in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on July 18, 2016.

Mongolia's IMA is a foreign investment promotion agency established in 2013 working to promote foreign investment, improve investment environment, and protect foreign investors.

Two agencies agreed to exchange information on investment promotion policies and hold forums to facilitate mutual investment.

KOTRA hopes the MOU will open doors to the Mongolian market for Korean companies trying to tap into the market.

Mongolia is emerging as an attractive investment destination thanks largely to its abundant underground resources and geographical location close to China.

As the country's business environment is improving, the newly signed MOU is expected to bring about positive impact for companies seeking business opportunities in Mongolia.
