(SEOUL=Yonhap News) South Korea's stock exchange vowed efforts Tuesday to make it more convenient for foreigners to invest in the nation's equity market.
The Korea Exchange (KRX) said it will improve a system related to omnibus accounts with multiple investors and offer more English-language information, holding an IR session in Hong Kong.
Thirteen firms listed on South Korea's main KOSPI market, including Samsung Electronics Co. and Hyundai Motor Co, and dozens of global institutional investors joined the event co-hosted by JP Morgan, according to the KRX.
It has served as a chance for mutual communication on the direction of the South Korean stock market operation and ways to improve relevant infrastructure, added the Seoul bourse.
