(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association (KSIA) announced May 29 that it will be holding its 2017 Semiconductor IR Conference on May 30 at the Korea Institute of Financial Investment in Yeouido, Seoul.
According to the association, a total of 20 companies (10 unlisted, 1 KONEX, 9 listed) expected to show positive growth in semiconductor design, materials, parts, equipment, sensors, embedded software, etc., are scheduled to participate at this year's IR conference, the second since last year.
KSIA's regular vice chairman Nam Ki-Man explained, "the semiconductor IR conference aims to revitalize the semiconductor industry ecosystem through cooperation between companies of all scales."
Vice Chairman Nam added, "the event will hopefully help emerging semiconductor companies meet with potential investors, creating greater opportunities to commercialize their technology."
