According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) LG Chem Ltd., South Korea's top chemical firm, said Wednesday that it has signed a patent-sharing agreement with Japan's Idemitsu Kosan to develop advanced materials used for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) products.

The two firms have been supplying key materials to global flat panel makers for OLED products.

The global OLED material market is forecast to reach 1.6 trillion won (US$1.39 billion) in 2020, sharply up from last year's estimated 800 billion won, according to LG Chem.
