(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Display Industry Association (KDIA) annoounced July 31 that it will be co-hosting the First Conference on Korean and Chinese Dislplay Market and Technology Trends with Chinese market research firm Sigmaintell on August 17 at the Eltower in Yangjae-dong, Seoul.
Speakers will include Sigmaintell analysts, as well as Vice President Zhu Yanlin of Chinese display maker Tianma and Deputy Secretary-General Hu Chunming of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufacturers Association (CODA).
A KDIA source noted, "Recently, with Chinese companies cathing up at an alarming speed, the Korea display industry has entered a new era of both crisis and opportunity," adding, "the upcoming conference will allow us to form a better understanding of the the current trends and future outlook of China's display industry markets and technologies, and thereby help raise the competitiveness of Korea's display industry at all levels, from panels and manufacturing equipment to parts and materials."
