South Korea’s largest parcel delivery service company CJ Logistics Corp. will partner up with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group’s logistics arm Cainiao in logistics services.

The Korean company said on Wednesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cainiao to build an infrastructure for e-commerce supply chain management (SCM).

The two opened up a global fulfillment center. The high-end multifunctional complex integrates tasks related to overseas sales of e-commerce goods ranging from logistics including storage and packaging to customs clearance and international air transport.

The center commanding a space of 130,000 square meters in Gimpo-si, west of Seoul, will handle goods bound for China for Korean vendors using commerce platforms of Alibaba Group.

“The center would simplify the logistics procedures for Korean products sold via Alibaba platforms,” said CJ Logistics.
