According to Yonhap News,
(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI) announced August 17 that it will be hosting the Preview in SEOUL 2017 exhibition from August 28 to 30 at the Seoul COEX and adjacent Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.
Now in its 18th year, the annual textile exhibition will be attended by 388 companies from Korea and around the world.
Of the 388 textile makers, 257 are Korean companies including Hyosung, Kolon Fashion Material, Hanil Synthetic Fiber, Shinheung and Seong-An, while the other 131 will be from 16 foreign contries, including China India and Taiwan.
Major textile organizations and research institutes such as the Spinners & Weavers Association of Korea (SWAK), the Korea Textile Trade Association (KTTA), and the Daegu Textile Marketing Center (DMC) will carry out joint marketing efforts with member companies.
The concept of the exhibition 'ReMix#ReSet' signifies how walls between different industries collapse during the 4th industrial revolution, causing industries to reemerge in unprecedented combinations in novel fields.
The latest products in all steps in the textile production process will be showcased at the event, including threads, environment-friendly and functional materials, knitted fabrics, subsidiary materials, fashion and apparel, accessories, digital textile printers and sewing machines, all customized to meet the diverse needs of modern life.
A wide range of related events are also scheduled at the venues, including fashion shows, seminars, charity bazaars, and a job fair.
KOFOTI expects around 12,000 visitors to participate in this year's exhibition, including some 1,000 foreign buyers.
