South Korea’s Hansung PCC Co., a subsidiary of LS Group’s arm Yesco Co., has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday with the American Consulting Engineers Group Inc. (CEG) to develop the precast concrete (PC) engineering.

The Chicago-based PC engineering and consulting corporation founded in 1966 received four PCI Medals of Honor, the U.S. Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute`s highest award. The CEG, running overseas operations in Istanbul, Manila and Cancun, has teamed up with Hansung PCC to enter the Korean market.

Precast concrete is a construction product produced by casting concrete in a reusable mold or form which is then cured in a controlled environment and transported to the construction site, making it possible to simplify the construction process and reduce the construction period. It also guarantees uniform quality and high durability.

Under the cooperation, the two companies plan to focus on developing specialty PC engineering methods and systems for terrace houses and modular homes to secure market-leading technologies.
