Two Foreign-invested Companies Sign to Invest USD 5 Mln in YESFEZ

According to Yonhap News,

(PYEONGTAEK=Yonhap News) On September 26, Korea's Yellow Sea Free Economic Zone (YESFEZ) Authority signed investment agreements worth USD 5 million with foreign-invested companies Daejung TC and Sinchang Specialty.

Based on the agreement, the companies will each inject USD 3 million and USD 2 million into the Pyeongtaek BIX business & industry complex to build production facilities for low-concentration caustic soda, which is used in making pH controllers and semiconductor water treatment solutions, by late 2019.

The two facilities will cover 3,110 and 3,066 square meters of land for Daejung and Sinchang, respectively.

When construction completes in 2020, Pyeongtaek BIX, currently being built on a 2.074 million-square-meter-site across the villages of Sigok-ri, Manho-ri and Sinyeong-ri in Poseung-eup, Pyeontaek-si, will feature industrial, logistics, residential and public facilities.
