According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced October 11 that it will be holding the '2017 Global Cosmetics Trends Forum' and 'Global Cosmetics Exports Fair' the following day at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.

At the forum, speakers will introduce global cosmetics market trends, ans strategies to make inroads into the markets of China, the United States, Central and South America, Europe, and Russia.

At the exports fair, meetings will take place between Korean companies and 184 cosmetics retailers from 36 countries including Spain's largest cosmetics retail group Maremor, and Lilit Cosmetics, which owns some 400 shops in Israel.

Last year, Korean cosmetics ranked no. 5 in global exports after France, the United States, Germany and Italy.

Korean cosmetics exports recorded USD 4.1 billion in 2015, a whopping 5-time increase from the USD 820 million in 2011, and grew by 20 percent year-on-year to USD 2.25 billion in the first half of 2017.

KOTRA expects this figure to reach USD 5 billion by the end of the year.
